## Synopsis

A mano limpia (2010-2013) is a Colombian national-television telenovela created for RCN. Former convict Manuel Guerra Asturias, nicknamed El León and played by Claudio Cataño, returns to his rough neighborhood after a prison sentence and falls for Silvia Alejandra Pizarro Nieto, played by Valentina Acosta, a wealthy psychology student who wants to help young delinquents. Together they set out to open a boxing gym, and the series follows the obstacles they face from family rivals, old debts and the pull of the streets as the gym becomes a place for local youths to channel their anger. Each episode mixes sporting training with melodramatic romance, family loyalties and class tension, building toward a single complete story across one season of 233 episodes. The atmosphere is earnest, emotional and warm, with a hopeful undercurrent of second chances. Fans of Campeones de la vida, Betty la fea and Rocky will find resonance in its blend of romance, boxing and underdog redemption, all set in a contemporary Colombian city.
