## Synopsis

The Mysterious Benedict Society (2021-2022) is an American family adventure series created by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer for Disney+, adapted from the novel or book by Trenton Lee Stewart. Four gifted orphans, led by the resourceful Reynie Muldoon (Mystic Inscho) and the sharp-witted Constance Contraire (Marta Kessler), are recruited by an eccentric benefactor, Nicholas Benedict (Tony Hale), who appears in disguise as the menacing Mr. Curtain. Placed undercover at a strange boarding school called The Institute, they must solve riddles, decode clues and trade on their individual talents to expose a nefarious plot with global consequences. Each episode is built around a self-contained puzzle or infiltration beat, and the season-long arc tightens as the young heroes learn to trust one another and form a new kind of family. The series spans two seasons and sixteen episodes, with a mix of playful humor, whimsical villainy and genuine warmth. Its breezy, clever register and its emphasis on wit and teamwork make it a natural pick for viewers who enjoy the spirit of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, with a brighter, kid-forward energy in the vein of Gifted.
