## Synopsis

Dark Desire (2020-2022) is a Mexican Netflix mystery drama series created by Leticia López Margalli. Married Alma Solares (Maite Perroni) spends a weekend away from home that ignites a passionate affair with Darío Guerra (Alejandro Speitzer), an encounter that ends in tragedy and leaves her questioning the people closest to her. Her husband Esteban Solares (Erik Hayser) and the wider family, including Zoe Solares (Regina Pavón), become tangled in lies and suspicion as Alma tries to separate what she wants from what is real. Across two seasons and thirty-three episodes, the story moves through domestic tension, secret meetings, and escalating fallout, with each chapter built around a new revelation that reshapes earlier choices. The atmosphere is somber, intimate and anxious, with a noir-tinged sense of dread that gives the romance a dangerous edge. Its engine is the push and pull between desire and consequence, a serialized mystery in which infidelity, betrayal, and a death keep demanding answers. Fans of Big Little Lies and Fatal Attraction will find resonance in its glossy, morally fraught melodrama and its portrait of respectable lives unraveling under a single transgression.
