## Synopsis

My Senpai Is Annoying (2021) is a Japanese animated workplace romcom produced by Doga Kobo and aired on TOKYO MX and BS11. Its single season of twelve 24-minute episodes follows Futaba Igarashi (voiced by Tomori Kusunoki), a young and small-statured new hire at a company whose senpai, Harumi Takeda (voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi), is loud, large, and relentlessly teasing. Futaba insists she finds him insufferable, yet the daily routine of office life keeps throwing them together, and the show keeps the romantic tension ambiguous. Supporting colleagues voiced by Saori Hayami, Reiou Tsuchida, and Reina Aoyama fill out the office with everyday interactions, lunch breaks, and small workplace frictions. The engine is simple: a young woman trying to be taken seriously while her overbearing mentor refuses to treat her as an adult. Episodes are light, breezy, and cozy, built from short vignettes rather than a continuing plot, giving a comforting, gently teasing register. Set in a contemporary Japanese office, it is a slice of life comedy with a light romantic undertow. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku will find resonance in its tsundere banter and office romance, and viewers wanting a short, easy watch will appreciate its modest scope.
