## Synopsis

Breathe: Into the Shadows (2020-2022) is an Indian crime thriller series created by Mayank Sharma for Prime Video. Dr. Avinash Sabharwal (Abhishek Bachchan) is a doctor whose six-year-old daughter Siya (Ivana Kaur) is snatched by a masked kidnapper who demands an unusual ransom: Avinash must kill someone to get her back. Parallel to his desperate scramble, Delhi Crime branch officer Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh) is handed charge of the investigation in a hostile department riddled with politics and rivalries, and his path crosses Avinash's in a web of lies, deceit and psychological mind games. The engine is simple and relentless: a father's love pushed to a moral breaking point, pitted against a detective who must read every lie. The series runs across two seasons and twenty episodes of about forty-five minutes each, following one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Its tone is tense, bleak and claustrophobic, with paranoia gnawing at every interrogation room and family conversation. Set in contemporary Delhi and its police precincts, it suits fans of 24, Sacred Games and Mindhunter who want a hard, morally knotted thriller with a strong cast and a sharp Indian streaming identity.
