## Synopsis

Super Friends (1973-1985) is an American animated superhero series created for ABC as a Hanna-Barbera production, running nine seasons and roughly 109 episodes in hour-long installments. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and Robin form the heroic core, voiced by performers such as Danny Dark as Superman and Casey Kasem as Robin, while teenagers Wendy and Marvin and their dog Marvel the Wonderdog accompany them on missions. The engine is simple and recurring: a villain or threat endangers innocent people, and the team races to stop it through action set pieces and moral guidance. Each episode is self-contained, so viewers can dip in at any point and follow the same reliable formula across the run. The tone is earnest, bright and wholesome, closer to a family-friendly Saturday morning program than to gritty comic-book drama, with an emphasis on teamwork, justice and protecting the vulnerable. Fans of Batman: The Animated Series, Teen Titans and Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! will find a similar appeal in its classic cartoon heroics and friendly ensemble energy, and its long run makes it a nostalgic touchstone for children of the 1970s and 1980s.
