## Synopsis

Caminantes (2020) is a Spanish science fiction and mystery miniseries created by José A. Pérez Ledo and produced by 100 Balas for Orange TV. Its seven short episodes, each about twenty-one minutes, follow five young friends, including Álex (Lucas Miramón), Andrea (Alexandra Pino), Lis (Songa Park), Dani (Daniel Ibáñez) and Iván (Carlos Suárez), who vanish while walking the Camino de Santiago in August 2019. The engine of the story is the search for what happened to them, pieced together from the recordings on the mobile phones the police later find buried in the middle of the mountain, along with their backpacks and belongings. Rather than a conventional chase, the series is built from fragmentary footage, shifting timelines and the unsettling gaps between what the friends recorded and what remains unexplained. Set in the Irati Forest near the border with France, the story leans on isolated woodland, rising unease and the intimacy of friends turned against a landscape they cannot read. Its tone is eerie, tense and mysterious, with a moody atmosphere that suits viewers who enjoy slow-building dread. Fans of Dark, Lost and The Blair Witch Project will find resonance in its blend of wilderness peril and unanswered questions.
