## Synopsis

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy (2002-2006) is a Japanese animated shonen sports action comedy series created by Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada under the pen name Yudetamago, produced by Toei Animation and broadcast on TV Tokyo. It continues the long-running Kinnikuman manga and anime line, following a young muscle-powered wrestler who inherits the mantle of the original hero and assembles a team of colorful superhuman fighters. Each episode is built around a wrestling-style bout in which the hero and his allies face outlandish villains with signature finishing moves, and the story escalates through tournaments and rivalries across three seasons totaling 77 episodes. The tone is earnest yet playful, with broad slapstick and heroic bravado played straight, and the atmosphere stays bright and energetic throughout. Fans of Kinnikuman, Hajime no Ippo, Tiger Mask W and Dragon Ball Z will find resonance in its blend of sports competition, superhero spectacle and shonen camaraderie. Rated TV-Y7, it is an accessible series for younger viewers and anime fans alike.
