## Synopsis

The Life of Mammals (2002-2003) is a British nature documentary miniseries presented by David Attenborough for BBC One. Across ten fifty-minute episodes, Attenborough serves as the on-screen guide, travelling to varied habitats to examine the animals that make up the mammal class. Rather than following a single protagonist, the series builds its engine around questions of adaptation: how these creatures find food, raise young, survive predators and climate, and outcompete other life forms. Each episode is a self-contained study that accumulates into a larger argument about why mammals have become the most successful creatures on the planet. The shape is a single miniseries with a consistent presenter and a steady, awe-filled rhythm of observation and narration. The tone is curious, warm and reverent, with a wonder at the natural world that feels both educational and calming. Fans of Planet Earth, The Blue Planet and Life on Earth will find the same sweeping global wildlife photography and Attenborough's patient, authoritative narration. It suits families and anyone who enjoys learning about animals through beautifully filmed natural history.
