## Synopsis

LEGO Monkie Kid (2020-2024) is a Chinese animated action comedy series created for iQiyi, Youku and Tencent Video. Its protagonist, MK (voiced by Jack De Sena), is a young noodle shop delivery boy in modern China who discovers the long-lost staff of the legendary Monkey King. He teams up with his best friends Mei (Stephanie Sheh) and Tang (David Chen), with Sandy (Patrick Seitz) rounding out the group, and together they face demons and mischievous rivals while trying to keep the imprisoned Demon Bull King from returning. Each brisk eleven-minute episode is built from fast fights, gadget-driven set pieces and playful banter, with the staff's magic turning ordinary streets into arenas of brick-built spectacle. Across five seasons and fifty-eight episodes, the show is a serialized adventure whose through-line keeps growing as the group matures. The mood is breezy, colorful and warm, blending reverence for Chinese myth with toy-box imagination and a found family spirit. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Journey to the West and Ninjago will find resonance in its mix of mythic lore, youthful heroics and comedy. Set in contemporary China, it reads as a family-friendly fantasy for younger viewers and their parents alike.
