## Synopsis

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020) is a South Korean romantic drama series created by Kim Min-gyeong and Oh Ji-young for KBS2. Go Ara plays Goo Ra-Ra, a pianist who loses her wealth and status and is drawn by twinkling little stars to a small town, where she hopes to rebuild her life. Lee Jae-wook co-stars as Sun Woo-Joon, and the story is supported by Kim Ju-hun, Shin Eun-soo and Ye Ji-won in the principal ensemble. The engine of the series is the heroine's search for a new home and a sense of belonging, with romance, classical music and everyday small town life filling each episode. It runs as a single sixteen-episode season, a self-contained limited run rather than an ongoing serial. The setting is a modest contemporary South Korean town, and the atmosphere is gentle, warm and sentimental, with a soft comedic register and an emphasis on hope and healing. Fans of Full House, Something in the Rain and Hotel del Luna will find some resonance in its romantic melodrama and its mix of fantasy-tinged destiny with ordinary domestic life. Reception was mixed, with the audience rating sitting modestly and reviewers faulting its slow early episodes.
