## Synopsis

World's Most Wanted (2020) is a American true crime docuseries created for Netflix, presented as a single-season limited series of five 45-minute episodes. Rather than following a scripted lead, it gathers former officials to speak as themselves: retired DEA special agent David Lorino, former FBI special agent Thomas Fuentes, and former U.S. Ambassador for War Crimes Pierre Richard Prosper, with former State Department deputy assistant Jonathan Winer adding diplomatic perspective. Each episode builds around a heinous fugitive who has slipped capture despite massive rewards and sprawling international investigations. The engine is the chase itself: the dogged pursuit, the dead ends, the cross-border coordination and the frustration of a suspect who keeps vanishing. Interviews are grounded and procedural, with investigative detail carrying the tension rather than reenactment flourishes. The mood is sober, gripping and occasionally unsettling, with a documentary register that foregrounds accountability and institutional persistence. Fans of The Most Hated Man on the Internet, Making a Murderer and The Staircase will find resonance in its blend of true crime investigation and first-person testimony from people who were there.
