## Synopsis

YOLO (2020-2025) is an American adult animated comedy created by Michael Cusack for Adult Swim. Two Australian party girls, Sarah and Rachel, are the heart of this 12-minute surreal series, with Sarah Bishop voicing Sarah and Todor Manojlovic voicing Rachel, while Michael Cusack also contributes additional voices. Sarah is searching for love, while Rachel hungers for chaos, and their opposing appetites keep pulling them into conflict as they wander the bizarre town of Wollongong. Each short episode is built from encounters with surreal Australiana, strange bush creatures and eccentric nomads, and the comedy leans on odd, escalating situations rather than a continuing plot. The show runs three seasons of eight episodes each, and its visual style and offbeat sensibility give it a loose, hallucinatory energy. Its tone is irreverent, sardonic and sincerely silly, with hopeful horoscopes setting up a cheerful optimism that the chaos constantly undercuts. Fans of Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! will find resonance in its adult animated absurdity and deadpan, boundary-pushing comedy.
