## Synopsis

Masaba Masaba (2020-2022) is an Indian comedy-drama series created by Ashvini Yardi for Netflix. Loosely inspired by the real life of fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who plays herself alongside her mother Neena Gupta (also playing herself), the show follows a designer juggling a demanding fashion label, a busy family household and a renewed push back into the singles market. Its engine is simple and relatable: she wants to build her brand and find a partner on her own terms, while work pressures, meddling relatives and awkward dates keep getting in the way. Each short episode of roughly half an hour is built from a mix of workplace mishaps, family squabbles and romantic misadventures set in contemporary Mumbai, where glamorous fashion shoots sit beside cramped domestic life. The series runs two seasons across thirteen episodes, playing as a breezy, candid and warmly self-deprecating chronicle. Its tone is light and witty, with an undercurrent of wistful honesty about career, identity and expectations. Viewers who enjoy Sex and the City, Younger or Mad About You will find a similar mix of style, banter and grounded romantic comedy.
