## Synopsis

Snowdrop (2021-2022) is a South Korean period romance drama created by Yoo Hyun-mi for JTBC. Set in 1987 Seoul, the story follows university student Eun Yoeng-ro (JISOO), who treats a bleeding stranger, Lim Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in), a student from a prestigious university who leaps into her women's dormitory during a dangerous situation. Their instant attraction becomes an enduring love story that unfolds against the tense final years of military rule, when campus activism and state surveillance shape every choice. Supporting characters, including Kang Cheong-ya (Yoo In-na), Lee Kang-moo (Jang Seung-jo) and Pi Seung-hee (Yoon Se-a), are drawn into the couple's orbit as the pressure around them mounts. The engine of the series is a love that must hide from the authorities while the characters are pulled into a larger political conflict. Its sixteen-episode single season leans on romantic longing, melodrama and suspense, with a wistful, emotionally heightened register. Viewers who enjoy Crash Landing on You, Reply 1988 and Itaewon Class will find resonance in its blend of romance and historical turbulence. The story balances tender scenes with political danger, building toward a bittersweet emotional payoff for its central pair.
