## Synopsis

3 Body Problem (2024) is a Netflix science fiction series created by David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo, adapted from Cixin Liu's novel. Five brilliant friends, among them physicist Will Downing (Alex Sharp) and detective Clarence Da Shi (Benedict Wong), find their lives pulled across continents and decades as the laws of science begin to unravel. Their search for answers is entangled with a mysterious signal and an existential threat from beyond Earth, and each episode builds layers of scientific puzzle, political suspicion and human moral choice. Saul Durand (Jovan Adepo) and Auggie Salazar (Eiza González) carry the investigation forward while Ye Wenjie (Rosalind Chao) anchors the story's roots in the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The tone is cerebral and anxious, with an undercurrent of cosmic dread and wonder. Viewers who enjoy the speculative puzzles of Arrival and the sprawling mysteries of Lost will find resonance here. The series runs for a single season of eight episodes, with a story that ends on an open note and asks for full attention from its audience.
