## Synopsis

JL50 (2020) is an Indian Hindi-language science fiction mystery miniseries created by Shailender Vyas and produced by Golden Ratio Films for SonyLIV. Its four episodes follow CBI Officer Shantanu, played by Abhay Deol, and his investigator Gourango, played by Rajesh Sharma, as they confront a plane that vanished thirty-five years earlier and has only now crashed in West Bengal. Pankaj Kapur plays Prof. Subroto Das and Piyush Mishra plays Prof. Biswajit Mitra, scholars whose knowledge bears on the impossible wreckage, while Amrita Chattopadhyay and Ritika Anand round out the investigation. The engine is a fact-driven inquiry: the officers must reconcile passenger records, families waiting decades for answers, and physical evidence that refuses to match the calendar. Told as a single compact arc, the miniseries moves through interviews, archives, and crash-site examinations rather than spectacle. Its tone is measured and unsettling, with a melancholy undercurrent about lost time and grief. Fans of Lost, Dark, and Sacred Games will find resonance in its mystery structure, time displacement, and regional crime-drama texture.
