## Synopsis

Mortal Glitch (2020) is an Ecuadorian fantasy comedy miniseries created by Christian Moya and released on YouTube Premium. Its protagonist Iria, played by Antonella Valeriano, feels her destiny lies far beyond her ordinary present and must push against the established order to save the world. Supporting roles include Erika Toa Russo as the Ingeniera, Antonio Harris as the Tonto del Pueblo, and María Elena Mexia as Tarmas, with Sebastian Ordoñez as Herrero and Orlando Herrera as Laín rounding out the principal cast. The engine of the show is the gap between a heroic calling and everyday obstacles, with each of its ten short episodes built from the eccentric townspeople and quirky confrontations that surround Iria's quest. Told across two seasons of five episodes each, the series is a compact, self-contained run rather than a sprawling saga. Its storytelling is deliberately unusual, mixing surprising structural turns with a contemporary approach to the hero's journey. The mood is playful, irreverent, and warm, with a tongue-in-cheek affection for the conventions of epic fantasy. Viewers who enjoy quirky heroic parody in the vein of The Adventures of Sabrina or Dead Like Me will find a similar appetite for absurd humor layered over a sincere underdog quest.
