## Synopsis

Petra (2020-2025) is an Italian crime comedy-drama series created by Maria Sole Tognazzi for Sky Cinema. Paola Cortellesi plays Petra Delicato, a former lawyer, twice divorced and unconventional, who now works as an inspector in the Flying Squad in Genoa. Her frank, direct manner and biting wit shape her working relationship with her colleague Monte, played by Andrea Pennacchi, a partnership that starts with personality clashes and grows into a sincere friendship. Antonio Zavatteri, Manuela Mandracchia and Marial Bajma-Riva round out the principal and recurring cast. The engine of the show is Petra's search for a new footing, both professionally and personally, as each case pushes her into unfamiliar territory. Its episodes are built around investigations in the port city's streets and offices, with the detectives' bickering providing much of the warmth. The series runs three seasons and ten episodes in total, and its tone mixes light comedy with grounded crime. Fans of Il commissario Montalbano and Rizzoli & Isles will find resonance in its sharp female lead and its blend of mystery, humor and character-driven investigation.
