## Synopsis

Sneakerheads (2020) is a American comedy series created by Jay Longino for Netflix. Family man Devin (Allen Maldonado) falls back into his old sneaker obsession after his friend Bobby (Andrew Bachelor) talks him into a wheeling-dealing scheme to score a mythical pair of kicks. The engine of the show is the hunt itself: deals struck in parking lots, shady middlemen, and the mounting cost of a hobby that strains his home life with his wife Christine (Yaani King Mondschein). Across six half-hour episodes that make up a single season, the comedy moves quickly, with each episode building toward the next pursuit rather than standing fully alone. The setting is present-day American city life, grounded in everyday friendships and small-scale hustles. The tone is breezy and goofy, with a sincere affection for sneaker culture beneath the jokes. Fans of Entourage and Silicon Valley, or of the friendship-driven hobby comedy Community, will find a similar appetite for ambitious schemes played for laughs. The show was canceled after its single season, so the story ends without resolving its central pursuit.
