## Synopsis

Underneath (2020-present) is a Serbian crime drama series created by Oleg Novković and Milena Marković for RTS 1 and Superstar TV. Investigator Nikola Krsmanović (Goran Bogdan) is drawn back into his own troubled past while hunting the killer behind three cruel, ritualistic murders. Alongside him, Boban Marković (Stefan Trifunović) and Milka Bjelić (Jana Bjelica) work the case through cold interviews, dead-end leads and personal reckonings that slowly reveal how old wounds shape the present investigation. Each season builds a continuing mystery, with the central case pulling the characters deeper into a shadowed local underworld. The tone is brooding, bleak and tense, with long stretches of quiet dread punctuated by violent discoveries. Viewers who enjoy True Detective and The Killing will find the same mood of moral weariness and a detective confronting his own darkness. Set in contemporary Serbia, the series spans three seasons of serialized, slow-burning mystery that rewards close attention and patience.
