## Synopsis

Chowder (2007-2010) is an American animated comedy series created by C.H. Greenblatt for Cartoon Network. Its scatterbrained, perpetually hungry title character, an apprentice chef voiced by Nicky Jones, works for caterer Mung Daal (voiced by Dana Snyder's co-cast peers and Tara Strong's Truffles Daal) and keeps stumbling into trouble. His pursuer Panini, voiced by Liliana Mumy, wants him as a boyfriend, which he abhors, while Mindy Sterling voices the rival caterer Ms. Endive. The engine is simple: Chowder means well, but his appetite and carelessness wreck jobs, and the rival companies turn every catering assignment into a cooking battle. Each twelve-minute episode is a self-contained mishap built on slapstick, strange side characters and quick gags. The show spans three seasons and ninety-three episodes. Its setting is an invented fantasy-flavored town rather than a specific real era, so the tone stays cheerful and zany, with the playful, breezy energy of a kids' cartoon. Fans of Adventure Time, Regular Show and Bob's Burgers will find similar absurd, food-driven comedy.
