## Synopsis

No Man's Land (2020-present) is a French television thriller series created by Amit Cohen, Maria Feldman, Eitan Mansuri and Ron Leshem for ARTE. Félix Moati plays Antoine Habert, a young Frenchman who travels into the Syrian civil war searching for his estranged sister Anna Habert, played by Mélanie Thierry, who is presumed dead. Antoine's engine is a stubborn private quest: each episode peels back another layer of a mystery, pulling him into dealings with smugglers, guides and foreign operatives while the front line shifts around him. Souheila Yacoub as Sarya Dogan and James Floyd as Nasser Yassin add principal weight to the cast, and the wider ensemble includes James Purefoy as Stanley. The series is a serialized, two-season run with sixteen episodes, and the story moves forward as one continuing thread in which every revelation matters. Set in the present-day Syrian conflict and the European cities connected to it, the series gives its war a grounded, documentary-tinged texture. Its tone is tense and paranoid, with moments of visceral danger balanced by a melancholic sense of grief and displacement. Its themes of family loyalty, moral compromise and the way distant wars reach ordinary lives will appeal to viewers who enjoy Homeland, Tyrant and The Night Manager.
