Critics and viewers broadly found this Korean crime thriller tense and well acted, with its revenge plot carried by a strong lead performance, though its familiar undercover-thriller beats keep it from feeling groundbreaking.

## Synopsis

My Name (2021) is a South Korean crime thriller miniseries created by Kim Jin-min and Kim Ba-da and released on Netflix. Han So-hee plays Ji-woo, a woman driven by revenge after her father's murder, who places her trust in a powerful crime boss and enters the police force under his direction. Park Hee-soon appears as Choi Mu-jin, and Ahn Bo-hyun and Kim Sang-ho fill out the principal cast. The engine of the story is a double life: Ji-woo must keep her true purpose hidden from the police and from the underworld, while every undercover assignment risks exposing her. Across eight episodes the tension tightens around concrete operations, shifting allegiances, and the constant threat of discovery. The mood is dark, propulsive, and suspenseful, with a grim view of corruption on both sides of the law. It is a compact limited series with a sharply focused arc, a Korean tradition of gritty crime storytelling. Fans of Infernal Affairs, The Departed and Breaking Bad will find resonance in its undercover tension and moral compromise.
