## Synopsis

Invisible City (2021-2023) is a Brazilian scripted mystery fantasy series created by Carlos Saldanha, Mirna Nogueira and Rodrigo Nogueira for Netflix. Environmental police officer Eric (Marco Pigossi) begins investigating the strange appearance of a dead river dolphin on a Rio de Janeiro beach, a case that becomes tied to the death of his beloved wife. As he pursues the truth, he discovers a hidden world of mythological entities drawn from Brazilian folklore living alongside the city's ordinary residents. Alessandra Negrini plays Ines, and Julia Konrad and Manuela Dieguez join the principal cast. The story unfolds across two seasons and twelve episodes, a serialized mystery in which each revelation pulls the family closer to danger. The tone blends grief-stricken melancholy with eerie, atmospheric wonder and moments of visceral violence, while the Rio setting, with its beaches, favelas and humid streets, gives the myths a grounded presence. Fans of American Gods, Grimm and Lost Girl will find resonance in its blend of local legend, urban crime and a family fractured by loss.
