## Synopsis

A Woman Scorned (2020-2022) is a Turkish national-television melodrama series created for Kanal D. Cansu Dere plays Asya Arslan, a successful doctor whose seemingly perfect life with her husband and son is upended when a stray blonde hair on his scarf exposes an extramarital affair. Caner Cindoruk plays her husband Volkan Arslan, and Melis Sezen plays Derin Güçlü, a woman whose presence in the story complicates every loyalty. Alp Akar, Eren Vurdem and Taro Emir Tekin round out a principal cast of spouses, lovers and relatives whose choices ripple across two seasons and sixty long episodes. The engine is simple and emotional: Asya wants the truth, the family wants peace, and every discovery forces a new confrontation inside a hospital and a household. Each episode unfolds as a continuing serialized story with escalating reveals, betrayals and alliances rather than standalone cases. Set in contemporary Istanbul among professional families, the series plays out in a glossy, heightened register of anguish, fury and quiet resolve. Its tone is intense and soapy, with a theme of betrayal and reckoning at the centre. Viewers who enjoy The Good Wife, Big Little Lies and the Turkish melodrama Kara Sevda will find the same appetite for marital drama and wounded pride. Adult viewers seeking a long emotional ride will find it engrossing throughout.
