## Synopsis

Territory (2020-2023) is a Russian folk horror series created for TNT and Premier. Gleb Kalyuzhny plays Egor Chudinov, a nineteen-year-old who sets out to find his parents, who vanished during an ethnographic expedition to the Perm Region. He is joined by his uncle Nikolai, played by Aleksey Rozin's peer ensemble, and two student travelers, Tanya and Nadia, who are along by chance. Their search pushes them deeper into a gloomy wilderness governed by its own laws and traditions, where hermits live in forest dugouts, sorcerers treat disease, and troubles are blamed on witches. Egor begins as a skeptic, dismissing tales of ancient creatures from Komi-Permian mythology, but each episode chips away at his certainty as the territory reveals itself to be far larger than he imagined. Across two seasons of fifteen episodes in total, the show unfolds as one continuing story rather than standalone cases. Its mood is oppressive, eerie and bleak, with a slow, atmospheric pace built on forest dread and unsettling rural ritual. Fans of Midsommar, The Wicker Man and the uneasy mysteries of Twin Peaks will find resonance in its folklore-soaked, isolated atmosphere.
