## Synopsis

Súbete a mi moto (2020) is a Puerto Rican biographical drama series created by Mary Black Suarez for Prime Video. Its single season of fifteen hour-long episodes dramatizes the story of the iconic boy band Menudo, following the group's rise through the eyes of its creator and manager, Joselo Vega, played by Sian Chiong. Renata Torres (Rocío Verdejo) appears among the principal characters, alongside Ricky Martin (portrayed by Ethan Schwartz and Felipe Albors) and René Farrait (Alejandro Bermúdez), with Edgardo Díaz (Yamil Ureña) and Doña Panchi (Marisol Calero) rounding out the cast. The engine of the show is the grind of turning young performers into a marketable pop act, with contracts, rehearsals, rotating lineups and the pressure of a demanding public weighing on everyone involved. Episodes move through the group's touring life and the personal costs behind the spotlight. Shot in Spanish and grounded in real events, the series carries a wistful, nostalgic tone tinged with ambition and disillusionment. Its structure is a single continuing story rather than a case of the week. Fans of Vida Loca, Get on Up and Thank You, Good Night: The Bee Gees Story will find resonance in its portrait of music industry ambition and the manufactured side of pop fame.
