## Synopsis

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. (2021) is an American adult animated superhero comedy created by Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum for Hulu. Patton Oswalt voices George Tarleton, the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K., whose decades of failed plots to conquer the world have left his evil organization A.I.M. in ruins. Ousted as its leader, he must face a midlife crisis while his marriage to Melissa Tarleton (Melissa Fumero) and his family life fall apart. Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia as Jodie Ramirez-Tarleton, and Ben Schwartz as Lou Tarleton round out the household, while Wendi McLendon-Covey voices scientist Monica Rappaccini. The engine of the show is domestic failure played against superhero spectacle, with each episode turning a bruised ego into a chaotic scheme. Presented as a single season of ten half-hour episodes, it unfolds as one continuing story rather than isolated cases. Produced in handmade stop motion by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios under the Marvel Television banner, it has a crude, irreverent texture. Set in a present-day American suburb, it carries a sardonic, deadpan register. Fans of Invincible, The Boys and Robot Chicken will find resonance in its satirical irreverence and adult humor.
