## Synopsis

Cry Wolf (2020) is a Danish miniseries created by Maja Jul Larsen for DR1, a national-television drama that blends family mystery with crime-tinged suspense. Its engine is a single question: a teenage girl named Holly Mølgård (Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl) writes a vivid school essay describing her stepfather's violent behavior, and her parents, Dea Mølgård Hansen (Christine Albeck Børge) and Lars Madsen (Bjarne Henriksen), flatly deny it. Holly's younger brother Theo Mølgård (Noah Storm Otto) sits in the middle of the fracture, while family friend Simon Hansen (Peter Plaugborg) and the wider social circle are pulled into the dispute. Each episode peels back another layer of loyalty, pressure and half-remembered detail, so the drama stays on the question of who is lying and who is telling the truth. Set in contemporary Denmark, the eight-episode run is intimate, tense and emotionally raw, with a claustrophobic home interior and a steady, deliberate pace. Fans of Big Little Lies, The Killing and the Danish family dramas of the 2010s will find resonance in its contested testimony, its mounting dread and its focus on how a household closes ranks.
