## Synopsis

An Anatolian Tale (2020-present) is a Turkish national-television family drama series created by Mustafa Çiftçi and broadcast on TRT 1. Set in the small moorland town of Gedelli, it follows Taner Kaya (Berk Atan), a young inventor who gave up his place at a science high school after his father's death so he could support his household. His mother Cemile Kaya (Nazlı Pınar Kaya) keeps pressing him to marry, but Taner's heart still belongs to his childhood sweetheart Dilek Akgün (Gülsim Ali), and that unresolved longing sits at the center of the story. Around him, principal characters such as Sefer Arslan (Ferdi Sancar) and Hüseyin Kaya (Erdal Cindoruk) populate a close-knit community where family obligations, neighbourly loyalty and everyday rivalries play out. The series unfolds as a long, serialized saga of many seasons, with episodes running about two hours each, built from domestic crises, workplace struggles and small victories as Taner tries to make his inventions matter. Its tone is warm, sincere and inspirational, with a gentle nostalgic pull toward village life and enduring devotion. Viewers who enjoy the emotional scale of Kara Sevda and the family rootedness of Yaprak Dökümü will find a similar comfort here.
