## Synopsis

Platonic (2023-present) is an American comedy series created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco for Apple TV. Rose Byrne plays Sylvia and Seth Rogen plays Will, two former best friends approaching midlife who reconnect after a long rift and discover that their renewed closeness becomes more consuming than either expected. Supporting players Luke Macfarlane as Charlie Greeves, Carla Gallo as Katie, and Tre Hale as Andy orbit their chaotic bond, and the engine of each episode is the friction between their old habits and their adult lives. The show is a sitcom built on social comedy, with episodes centered on escalating mishaps, awkward gatherings, and impulsive decisions that ripple through their relationships. Its tone is sharp, sarcastic, and affectionate, with a raunchy edge balanced by genuine warmth about friendship. Fans of Broad City, Insecure, and Catastrophe will find resonance in its blend of adult humor and emotional honesty about the people we love most.
