## Synopsis

Spider-Man Unlimited (1999-2001) is an American animated superhero series created by Avi Arad and Will Meugniot for Fox Kids, produced by Saban Entertainment and Marvel Studios. Voiced by Rino Romano as Spider-Man, with John Payne as John Jameson, Brian Drummond as Venom and Michael Donovan as Carnage, the show follows the web-slinger after he travels to Counter-Earth to rescue a stranded Terran shuttle crew. Instead of his familiar New York, he finds a tyrannical and warped version of his world ruled by the High Evolutionary and a court of anthropomorphic animal figures. Each episode is built around action set pieces, villain confrontations and the pressure of getting the crew home while outmaneuvering a hostile regime. The thirteen-episode run is a single continuing adventure with a bright, brisk energy and a kid-friendly tone, its colorful action softened by goofy banter and comic-book sincerity. Fans of Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series and X-Men: Evolution will find the same earnest superhero spirit and villain-heavy storytelling here, rendered in a more expansive cosmic setting.
