## Synopsis

Heaven Official's Blessing (2020-2024) is a Chinese donghua fantasy series created by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and produced by Haoliners Animation and Pb Animation, broadcast on bilibili. Banished to the mortal realm after centuries in the heavens, the eight-century-old deity Xie Lian (voiced by Jiang Guangtao) is tasked with exorcising ghosts, and the work grows dangerous when he crosses paths with the demon Hua Cheng (voiced by Ma Zhengyang). Their uneasy alliance anchors the story, with the wandering Shi Wudu (voiced by Zhao Yi) and Pei Ming (voiced by Tu Xiongfei) adding humor and shadowy history. Across two seasons and twenty-three episodes, each case-of-the-week ghost hunt gradually reveals a larger mystery as Xie Lian uncovers dark secrets behind the many gods of the heavenly court. The atmosphere mixes whimsical banter with melancholic flashbacks and eerie, mythic horror in an invented xianxia realm of ancient temples and ghostly streets. Its tone is gentle, devoted and wistful, with a bond between two lonely immortals at its heart. Fans of The Untamed, Mo Dao Zu Shi and Noragami will find resonance here.
