## Synopsis

Taz-Mania (1991-1995) is an American animated family comedy created by Tom Ruegger and Jean MacCurdy for FOX and Fox Kids, produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Its manic lead is Taz, a voracious, party-hungry Tasmanian devil and the oldest of five siblings, voiced by Jim Cummings, who works as a bellhop and busboy at the Hotel Tasmania, a bizarre coastal resort. Maurice LaMarche voices Hugh, and Miriam Flynn, Kellie Martin, Debi Derryberry, Dan Castellaneta, John Astin and Rob Paulsen fill out a large voice cast of eccentric characters. Across four seasons totaling 123 episodes, the engine is simple and reliable: Taz wants food and fun, and the resort's odd guests and his own family keep getting in the way. Each half-hour episode is a self-contained burst of slapstick, rapid gags and cartoon mayhem. The tone is breezy, zany and cheerful, with broad physical comedy aimed squarely at children. Fans of Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures and The Ren & Stimpy Show will find a kindred spirit in its loud, irreverent energy and frantic animated antics.
