## Synopsis

Somebody (2022) is a South Korean crime thriller miniseries created by Han Ji-wan and Jung Ji-woo for Netflix. Across eight episodes, a software developer and her circle of friends, including Kim Sum (Kang Hae-lim), become entangled in a murder case connected to her dating app. Seong Yun-o (Kim Young-kwang) plays the mysterious man whose hidden past makes him a suspect in the case. The engine of the show is the growing tangle of online profiles, gossip, and digital evidence that pulls ordinary people into an investigation they cannot easily control. Each episode peels back another layer of the case, with suspicion shifting among the characters as secrets surface. Set in contemporary South Korea, the series leans on the anxieties of dating app culture and social media exposure. Its tone is tense and unsettling, with a psychological edge and a steady sense of unease. Fans of Mindhunter and Signal will find resonance in its blend of murder investigation, morally unsettled characters, and a serial killer shadow hanging over the story.
