## Synopsis

American Horror Stories (2021-2024) is a US horror anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk for Hulu, spun off from American Horror Story. Across three seasons and twenty-four episodes, each self-contained story takes a myth, legend, or piece of lore and drops its characters into a new supernatural predicament, so no cast member or setting carries over from one tale to the next. Episodes run around forty-eight minutes and follow whatever ordinary people happen to be caught in the unsettling premise, from a teacher, a student, or a couple to a stranger whose ordinary life turns uncanny. Recurring actors such as Kiki Lee, Belissa Escobedo, Kevin McHale, Charles Melton, Danny Trejo, Billie Lourd, and Aaron Tveit appear in differing roles across the stories rather than as a single family of characters. The tone leans on creeping dread, sudden gore, and dark irony, with a Halloween-season feel that suits viewers who like grisly, playful scares. Fans of American Horror Story, Creepshow, and Tales from the Crypt will find resonance in its folklore-driven shocks and sharp, tongue-in-cheek sensibility.
