## Synopsis

Run On (2020-2021) is a South Korean romance drama created for JTBC, a single-season limited series of sixteen seventy-minute episodes. Yim Si-wan plays Ki Seon-gyeom, a track star whose life has been mapped out for him by others, and Shin Sae-kyeong plays Oh Mi-joo, the film translator whose arrival pulls him off that predetermined course. Around them, Sooyoung Choi as Seo Dan-ah, Kang Tae-oh as Lee Yeong-hwa and Lee Bong-ryeon as Park May fill out a circle of friends and rivals in the contemporary Korean world of training, competition and everyday work. The engine of the show is simple and emotional: a runner who has only ever measured himself by the clock must learn to ask what he wants, while a translator who makes her living rendering other people's words must find her own voice. Each episode moves at a patient, reflective pace, letting quiet conversations, training sessions and small gestures carry the romance rather than grand plot twists. The tone is sincere, wistful and gently hopeful, with a warm, unhurried atmosphere. Fans of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Crash Landing on You will find resonance in its gentle romance, and viewers who enjoy Haikyu!! will recognize its sports-driven story of personal growth.
