## Synopsis

The Wilds (2020-2022) is an American teen survival drama series created by Sarah Streicher for Prime Video. After a plane crash strands a group of teenage girls from very different backgrounds on a deserted island, the castaways must cope with hunger, injury, and rivalry while keeping their own secrets. Leah Rilke (Sarah Pidgeon) and Fatin Jadmani (Sophia Ali) anchor the group, with Shelby Goodkind (Mia Healey) and Rachel Reid (Reign Edwards) among the girls whose clashes grow into fragile bonds. Each episode alternates the tense island present with flashbacks that reveal the traumas and anxieties each girl carried home, so the survival story steadily deepens into character study. The engine of the show is the gradual revelation that these girls did not end up on the island by accident, which turns their struggle into a mystery. Across two seasons and eighteen episodes, the series is a serialized, emotionally raw drama with a tense, mysterious undercurrent. Its tone mixes dread with tenderness, and its themes of adolescence, mental health, and female solidarity recall Lost and Yellowjackets. The series was canceled before its story was finished.
