## Synopsis

Mr. Mayor (2021-2022) is a US single-camera political sitcom created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock for NBC. Ted Danson plays Mayor Neil Bremer, a retired businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles to prove he is still got it, only to discover that winning the office is the easy part. Holly Hunter plays Arpi, his sharp-tongued and skeptical critic whose respect he must earn, while Vella Lovell, Mike Cabellon and Bobby Moynihan round out the city hall staff who scramble to keep him on track. Kyla Kenedy plays Orly, his teenage daughter, and their strained relationship adds a domestic thread to the civic chaos. Each episode is built from the daily grind of municipal government, with press demands, political rivals and staff crises colliding with the mayor's well-meaning but clumsy attempts to govern. The show spans two seasons and 19 episodes before its cancellation. Its tone is breezy and irreverent, with a satirical edge toward politics and a warm streak of earnest absurdity, set in a version of Los Angeles that is both glamorous and ridiculous. Fans of Veep, Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock will find a kindred comic sensibility here, along with the sharp-witted workplace energy of Fey's earlier work.
