## Synopsis

Deadly Sins (2002-2005) is a Colombian soap opera series created by Miriam de Florez Salamanca and García for Caracol TV, a Latin American telenovela tradition production told in a single 162-episode run. Frank Ramírez plays Evaristo Salinas, a multimillionaire who fakes his own death and then forces his scheming relatives to live together in his mansion for one year. Each relative wants a share of the fortune, and each must prove worthy to inherit it, so the household becomes a pressure cooker of rivalry, secret alliances, romantic entanglements and quiet betrayals. The engine is the watching and testing itself: every private act can be weighed by the absent patriarch, and the heirs must keep up appearances while plotting against one another. Episodes unfold in the familiar soap rhythm of cliffhangers, reversals and confrontations inside a gilded house. The tone is melodramatic and glossy, with sly humor and bitter edges about money and family loyalty. Its single long season gives the story room to build a full arc of rising tension. Fans of Dallas, Dynasty and Betty la Fea will find resonance in its inheritance intrigue, class-tinged romance and high-stakes family drama.
