## Synopsis

Outer Range (2022-2024) is an American Prime Video western mystery series created by Brian Watkins. Josh Brolin plays Royal Abbott, a rancher fighting to hold onto his Wyoming land and family, and Imogen Poots plays Autumn Rivers, a woman whose path crosses his as the story moves through the wilderness edge. Lili Taylor plays Cecilia Abbott and Tamara Podemski plays Deputy Sheriff Joy Hawk, both anchoring the family and local law threads. The engine of the series is a land dispute with neighbors and rivals, set against an unfathomable anomaly that opens a hole through time and draws characters into other timeframes. Each episode alternates between ranch grit and eerie revelation, building a serialized mystery across two seasons of fifteen episodes total. The tone is brooding and austere, with wide open landscapes, family rivalry and cosmic dread sharing the same frame. Viewers who enjoy Twin Peaks, Westworld and Dark will find a similar pull of supernatural unease in a grounded setting. The show was canceled after its second season, leaving its central mystery open.
