## Synopsis

Room 2806: The Accusation (2020) is a French-language true crime docuseries created for Netflix, a four-episode miniseries of roughly forty-seven minutes each. It revisits the 2011 sexual assault case involving French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn at the height of his career, a case that unfolded in a Manhattan hotel and rapidly became an international scandal. The series assembles archive footage of Strauss-Kahn himself, including his own appearances, with present-day interviews from journalists such as Raphaëlle Bacqué, politicians including Élisabeth Guigou and Jack Lang, and commentators like Thierry Ardisson, alongside figures from the legal side such as attorney Benjamin Brafman. Each episode builds its picture of the affair patiently, weighing press coverage, political power and the machinery of justice against one another rather than dramatizing events. The tone is sober, investigative and unsparing, with a sense of institutional reckoning and the uncomfortable weight of celebrity impunity. Its structure is a single continuous account rather than a series of standalone cases. Viewers who admire the forensic patience of Making a Murderer or the media scrutiny of The Case Against Adnan Syed will find the same deliberate, document-driven approach here, grounded in real events and real voices.
