## Synopsis

Dug Days (2021) is a US Disney+ animated family comedy miniseries created by Bob Peterson and Pete Docter, a Pixar production. Its five short episodes, each around eleven minutes, follow Dug, the talking golden retriever from the film Up, voiced by Bob Peterson, as he navigates everyday events in his own backyard. Ed Asner returns as Carl, and guest voices include Jordan Nagai as Russell, Simon Helberg as Squirrel, Jeff Pidgeon as Fly, Sarayu Blue as Bird, and Heather Eisner as Snail. The engine of the show is Dug's excitable, slightly distorted view of ordinary yard life, where a squirrel, a fly, or a snail becomes a serious obstacle or a grand quest. Each short is a self-contained misadventure built from simple physical gags and affectionate character comedy, with no continuing plot to track. The mood is breezy, sweet, and warm, rooted in the gentle charm of Pixar's storytelling and the familiar Up universe. Fans of Bolt, Pixar's short films, and preschool-friendly animated comedies will find the same wholesome, lighthearted appeal in this brief, all-ages series.
