## Synopsis

Cooku with Comali (2019-present) is a Tamil-language Indian comedy cooking competition created by Parthiv Mani for STAR Vijay. Each week contestants are paired with comedians who act as amateur cooks, and the pairs tackle cooking challenges set by the format while the banter, mishaps and playful rivalries drive the entertainment. Judges Chef Damu and Chef Venkatesh Bhat assess the dishes, while hosts Ma Ka Pa Anand and Rakshan keep the weekly episodes moving. Contestant Roshini Haripriyan and Ashwin Kumar appear among the regular competitors. The show runs as a long-form reality series across seven seasons and more than three hundred episodes, a standing weekly format rather than a continuing story, so each episode stands alone. The tone is breezy, joyful and light, with the comedy coming from character performances and kitchen chaos rather than from stakes. It is a streaming-era staple for viewers who enjoy food, humour and friendly competition. Fans of MasterChef Australia, Hell's Kitchen and The Great British Bake Off will find resonance in its blend of cooking tests and comic performance, though its Indian comedic energy gives it a distinct flavour.
