## Synopsis

Record of Ragnarok is a Japanese animated action series created for Netflix, adapted from a seinen manga and produced in Japan. Its premise, set in the present day rather than any named era, follows the gods who decide to erase humankind and grant one last chance at survival through a tournament of combat. Human champions, including Adam and Kojiro Sasaki, are pitted against divine fighters such as Zeus, Hermes and Poseidon, with Brunhilde and the valkyrie Göll among the figures who shape the bouts. The engine is simple and relentless: each match decides how much longer humanity gets, and every episode is built around a clash of mythological power, strategy and personal pride. Across three seasons and forty-two episodes of roughly twenty-four minutes, the series keeps its tournament structure while escalating the scale of its battles. Its tone is fierce, operatic and often bombastic, with graphic violence and strong language that match its TV-MA rating. Fans of Saint Seiya, Baki and Hellsing Ultimate will find the same blend of mythology, brawling spectacle and seinen intensity, delivered as a stylized, high-energy anime that treats ancient gods as heavyweight fighters.
