## Synopsis

Citadel (2023-present) is a US streaming spy thriller created by Josh Appelbaum, David Weil and Bryan Oh for Prime Video. Richard Madden plays Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Nadia Singh, two top agents of a secret espionage organization whose minds were wiped after years in the field. When sinister forces from their past resurface, they are called back into action and must reconstruct who they were, while spymaster Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) pushes them toward a mission that could save the world. Lesley Manville and Ashleigh Cummings round out the principal cast. The engine of the show is memory itself: each episode pairs present-day action sequences, chase scenes and covert operations with fragmented flashbacks that slowly reveal the former lovers' relationship and the conspiracy that erased them. The series runs for two seasons of thirteen episodes in total, told as one continuing serialized story across shifting global locations. Its tone is glossy and kinetic, with a sleek, high-budget espionage surface and an undercurrent of loss and longing. Fans of Alias, Berlin Station and The Night Manager will find a familiar appetite for globe-trotting intrigue, though the show leans more on spectacle than on the slow-burn paranoia of its peers.
