## Synopsis

Last Summer (Son Yaz, 2021) is a Turkish crime drama series created for FOX, a national-television crime thriller with a serialized, continuing storyline. Idealist public prosecutor Selim Kara (Ali Atay) receives an unexpected offer from Selçuk Taşkın (Arif Pişkin), the organized crime leader he sent to prison eight years earlier. Selçuk will testify in one of Selim's cases and destroy his criminal organization, but only if Selim guarantees the protection of his son, Akgün Gökalp Taşkın (Alperen Duymaz). Each episode builds the pressure of that bargain through courtroom maneuvering, shifting loyalties, and dangerous street-level threats, as Selim's family, including lawyer Yağmur Kara (Hafsanur Sancaktutan) and Canan Yalçın (Funda Eryiğit), is drawn into a world where every promise carries risk. The show runs across two seasons and twenty-six long episodes, and its engine is a fragile arrangement between enemies who need each other. Set in contemporary Istanbul, the atmosphere is tense, morally charged and claustrophobic, with the emotional weight of a father's desperation and a young man caught between two worlds. Fans of Breaking Bad and Suits will find resonance in its power-struggle intensity and legal-criminal tension.
