## Synopsis

Mumbai Diaries (2021-present) is an Indian medical thriller series created by Nikkhil Advani and produced for Prime Video. Set in the emergency room of a government hospital in Mumbai, it follows a team of doctors and nurses led by Dr. Kaushik Oberoi (Mohit Raina) and the hospital administrator Chitra Das (Konkona Sen Sharma), alongside surgeon Dr. Mani Subramaniam (Prakash Belawadi) and nurse Mansi Hirani (Shreya Dhanwanthary). Their engine is the relentless flow of patients arriving with injuries, where every triage decision, shortage of beds and staff conflict tests the team's capacity to keep going. The show moves between the wards and the streets, tracking first responders across the city as a large-scale crisis unfolds. Told across two seasons of eight episodes each, it stays serialized, with each episode carrying the tension of a ticking clock. Drawn from a grounded, documentary-leaning hospital drama tradition, it is tense, harrowing and emotionally raw, with a strong undercurrent of exhaustion and quiet heroism. Viewers who enjoy ER and Chicago Med will find the same ensemble urgency and moral fatigue here, rendered in a distinctly Indian urban setting.
