## Synopsis

Alba (2021) is a Spanish miniseries created for Atresplayer, a limited series of thirteen hour-long episodes that blends a psychological thriller with a family drama. Alba Llorens (Elena Rivera) wakes on a beach after a night she cannot remember, and as fragments return she learns that the men responsible are friends of her lover, Bruno Costa (Eric Masip). The engine of the story is her struggle to trust her own memory while navigating a circle of people who expect her silence, and the pressure of a household where loyalty and reputation carry real weight. Adriana Ozores plays Mercedes, and Álvaro Rico plays Jacobo Entrerríos, whose presence keeps the danger close to home. Each episode peels back another layer of the aftermath, with a investigation that moves through interrogations, secrets and quiet confrontations in contemporary Spain. The tone is tense, claustrophobic and emotionally raw, dwelling on dread and the slow erosion of trust rather than on spectacle. Fans of Vis a Vis, Broadchurch and The Handmaid's Tale will find resonance in its survivor-centered perspective, its unflinching treatment of sexual violence, and its patient, character-driven suspense.
